I had an emergency appendectomy on February 22, 2009, the day after my 49th birthday. I started getting sick on Friday night, laid in bed with pain on the lower right side of my belly, all day and night Saturday. Sunday I crawled upstairs to turn in assignments for my on line class, and decided to go to the hospital.
